EGS Berkebun, Menumbuhkan Kepedulian Lingkungan dan Sarana Pembelajaran Entrepreneur

 


    EGS Berkebun adalah salah satu program unggulan yang bertujuan menumbuhkan kepedulian siswa SMA Edu Global terhadap lingkungan sekaligus menjadi sarana pembelajaran kewirausahaan. Kegiatan EGS Berkebun bekerja sama dengan Dinas Lingkungan setempat juga organisasi atau komunitas lingkungan yang ahli dan berpengalaman dalam berkebun, salah satu metodenya ialah hidroponik.

    Metode hidroponik dipilih menyesuaikan dengan kondisi dan tempat penanaman benih tumbuhan di sekolah. Hidroponik juga dipilih karena menjadi salah satu inovasi berkebun di lahan terbatas dan memanfaatkan air serta pemenuhan kebutuhan nutrisi pada tanaman. Hal ini juga memberikan tanggung jawab kepada siswa untuk menjaga tumbuhan tetap sehat sampai siap untuk dipanen.

    Selain itu, EGS Berkebun menjadi sarana siswa untuk belajar berwirausaha melalui penjualan hasil panen. Tentunya hasil panen tersebut adalah buah dari tanggung jawab dan kedisiplinan mereka dalam merawat dan menjaga tumbuhan agar tetap hidup dan dalam kondisi baik. Untuk itu, EGS Berkebun adalah kegiatan yang sangat tepat dan akan terus berlanjut sebagai cara untuk mengembangkan karakter dan kebiasaan baik siswa dalam menjaga lingkungan sekitar.
